 Nestlé is feeling the heat! Just yesterday Nestlé Waters North America announced plans to scale back its proposed bottling plant in McCloud, California. The communities that are directly challenging Nestlé are making national headlines.
Congratulations to our allies in McCloud and thanks to all of you for generating the grassroots action and media attention around these critical bottled water site fights.
However, the struggle to challenge corporate control of water continues. The McCloud Watershed Council and the Protect Our Waters Coalition responded to Nestlé’s announcement saying, “the way Nestlé has conducted itself in the past...leads us to view this recent announcement with caution.”
Support the efforts of local McCloud organizations by taking action today. Tell CEO Kim Jeffery that the people of McCloud expect Nestlé to fully and adequately address the Coalition’s concerns.
Nestlé’s abuses cannot continue. Send an email to express your support for all of the communities that are directly impacted by Nestlé’s abuses.
