It's time to stand up to Nestlé

Guess who said “We sell water so we have to be clever.”?

It was Jeff Caso, a former Nestlé Senior Vice-President for Marketing, Sales and Communications. He implicitly acknowledged that buying bottled water is largely unnecessary and a demand driven by misleading advertising.
Nestlé did not invent, create, produce, or patent the water that it takes from the Earth. Yet it sells this water – under the names of Arrowhead, Poland Spring, Deer Park and more – for enormous profits.

Nestlé is aggressively expanding its bottled water operations – from California to Michigan to Maine - with disregard for the impact on the environment and the ability of local communities to meet their own needs.

Thursday, April 19th, is Nestlé’s annual shareholders’ meeting and your chance to join with other activists and local communities around the country in standing up to Nestlé!  Click the 'Send this Message' button to send the e-mail below to the CEO of Nestlé.

While executives tout profits, challenge them to listen to the communities that say “no” to bottling plants – it is time this corporation stops threatening local control of water. Your action will help stop Nestlé from exerting its tremendous political and economic influence to bully community groups that try to maintain control over their water resources.

You can also make your voice heard with a quick phone call to Nestlé. Click here for phone numbers and a script to help make your call faster and easier!

After your call, please take a moment to let us know what happened. You can report your phone calls by calling our Campaign Headquarters at 800-688-8797 or by e-mailing us at activistnetwork@StopCorporateAbuse.org.

Onward,
Patti Lynn
