As of our last campaign update, Pepsi agreed to print “Public Water Source” on its Aquafina brand labels. It took thousands of phone calls and emails, press events, and a vocal presence at shareholders’ meetings to achieve this victory. We are grateful for the vital role you played in this success.
To harness the momentum you have created, we are now calling upon Coke (makers of Dasani bottled water) to follow Pepsi’s lead.
We are asking that you do two things today:
1. Send an email to Coca-Cola CEO Neville Isdell, demanding that “Public Water Source” be written on all Dasani labels. (To send your email - edit the letter below, fill out the form and click 'Send this Message')
2. Donate to Corporate Accountability International to help us keep pressure on these corporations to act in the public’s interest.
Why we need your donations:
These victories challenge corporations to stop marketing in ways that undermine confidence in public water. Corporations like Coke and Pepsi bottle tap water and sell it back to us at hundreds of times the cost. Your actions and support give us the opportunity to expand our campaign to challenge these abuses and reaffirm consumer confidence in public water systems.
If you prefer to give your gift by check, please send it to: Corporate Accountability International, 46 Plympton Street, 4th floor, Boston, MA 02118. Know that every dollar you donate to Corporate Accountability International is used to advance our shared vision of a world where people and the environment come before corporate power.
Thank you so much.
Onward!
